It was all a blur. Fish was certain he must really be in love. He felt kind of foolish with all these folks around. The only reason he was here was because of Bella and they hadn't been alone once since he got there. Really, alone.
Yeah, he had to admit it...he was a happy boy when he got to that motel room. He couldn't remember the last time he'd watched cable.
"What? They don't even have videos anymore, do they?" He said right away after tuning in to MTV.
"Duh, like forever." She told him switching off the remote. "I didn't think you liked TV?"
"I could learn to watch it again," he promised with a smile.
"Shut up," she laughed. "We didn't come all this way to watch TV."
"We didn't?" He even felt foolish saying it. He couldn't help but grin. There was this problem. There was somebody between them and well, he really hoped she wouldn't bring that up this moment.
They cuddled then on the bed and Fish felt it was awful quiet. He was a little nervous. He so wished he could take the edge off, but he needed that edge in the days to come. This was awful scary. But he wasn't going to bring up the things he was worried about. Finding a place to live. A job. It was sort of a long list, he supposed. But really this was not the time or place to bring it up.
"I'm really glad we did this," He said with a nod.
"Well, its what you wanted, wasn't it?" After all she was the one who'd set the whole thing up. It was even last minute that she'd let him know about the ceremony.
"We'll be happy," she nodded. "I won't let you down."
"I won't let you down either," he gave her a squeeze then a kiss. "I love you."
"I know, and I really want this baby." Bella sighed a little sleepy.
"Well, of course, I know you want it."
"No, I mean, I want it out of me. Right now." She looked at him as if he'd know what to do.
"But you have a scheduled appointment at the end of this month for a c-section." He tried to keep smiling.
"Yeah, but if we have sex and lot of it, then it might happen like tonight or tomorrow, even."
Fish caught his breath and looked at her wide eyed. He thought he might choke on his own saliva. She was always good at putting him between a rock and hard place.
