them or us

Rosco wasn't sure why Gordy called him, but he showed up because he could and he would. What ever Gordy needed him for, he'd be there.

"Just take the girls for a little while, will you?" Gordy was a bit out of sorts. He'd fed Lucy and Jane, at least.

"Sure. What's wrong?" Rosco thought maybe it had something to do with Christmas.

"Its Rachel." Gordy sighed. "She won't come out of the bathroom."

"Good thing I went to the bathroom before I got here," Rosco was even lipped. "What's going on?"

"Um, nothing," Gordy said. "Nothing I can't handle."

"Maybe I should talk to her." Rosco offered.

"I'd rather you didn't," Gordy told him. "We have some stuff to straighten out."

"Straighten what out?" Rosco wasn't sure what he was going on about now.

"Uh, Rachel is...OK, we've been seeing each other since Thanksgiving."

"Are you crazy?" Rosco looked at him as if Gordy had to be.

"No." Gordy sighed. "Its good. Everything is good. And I want to keep it that way, all right. We just need some time. Can you give us some time?"

Rosco gritted a smile. He really didn't want to, "For how long?"

"I don't know, I'll call you." Gordy told him as Rosco went to get the girls ready.

"It might take forever, you know." Rosco left him with that to think about. He should have expected this, but he hadn't seen it coming. He really hadn't. And he didn't know what it would take to get used to it.

Poor Rosco. And I hope Rachel isn't dead. Although, as I've said before, she doesn't really have a reason to be SO down.

Luckily I got some sleep today. I got up at 9:45 am.

Thanks for answering my question and thanks for trusting me with all of this. I really appreciate it.
