Is it July yet?

Would the 4th ever get here? Rosco was beginning to wonder. He could hardly wait. He's talked with Kal on the phone about his Dad who would be visiting. His stomach was in mixed emotions. He wanted to eat, but he couldn't. He was so scared he might throw up. Just when he thought his nerves were settled with this band gig and with Carrie and being away from Charlotte then this would have to happen. He didn't know why he was so scared to see his Dad but he was. He didn't want to be, but he was afraid his father wouldn't like how he turned out. And he didn't want to care, but he did.

And then....Jason showed up at his motel room.

"What are you doing here?"

"I thought you needed a lift home." Jason shrugged who made himself right at home.

"I didn't need one." Rosco shook his head. There was Jason still in his scull cap. His blond hair a few inches longer. Somebody thought he was Jason Mewes one day and Jason had tried to look like him ever since. Perhaps he was even better looking that Mewes. After all, Jason was just 18 and in his prime of lankiness. Only, it really hadn't gotten him anywhere with the girls. They just assumed he was the biggest pot head at school. And he was. "What about my job? You were taking my hours?" Rosco reminded him.

"Sorry dude, Jason needed a vacation." Jason lit up some of his finest quality stuff and let Rosco take a drag.

"Well, Rosco needs a job, dude." Rosco didn't take this well. "You just upped and left?"

"Uh-huh."

"Thanks, a lot, asshole." Rosco took a drag off the cigarette just out of spite. He took in another long one, thinking he'd just take care of the whole damn thing.

Jason didn't mind. He just lit up another one and took to it as if it were good medicine to keep Rosco shut up.

Rosco set back then wondering what he was suppose to do now. "You couldn't find anyone to cover for me?"

"You'll thank me later." Jason closed his eyes and smiled.

There was a knock on Rosco's door. Luckily, it was just Carrie, who of course was cool with good dope. She wanted some too.

"This is all you've got?" She fussed with Jason.

"Beggars can't be choosers, you know, babe," Jason grinned.

"Don't call me babe." She scowled.

Rosco set there numb wondering what the fuck to do. He thought Carrie was going to pick a fight with Jason. Next thing Rosco saw ...they were kissing. Really going at it. Rosco felt he was glued to his chair. He tried to laugh, but maybe he was a statue. This was so much better than any of the porn that was on TV. He wondered how long he could sit here before anyone noticed he was still here.

That was a shocker. Carrie and Jason. Ha! I think I'd leave the room if I was Rosco.

I don't like Carrie, or Jason. They deserve each other. I think it's time for Rosco to go home.
