afterburn

Gordy guessed everything went OK. He wasn't sure what he was suppose to do at the end of the date other than a quick kiss on the cheek. Then he felt kind of strange afterwards. Maybe Serena didn't like him. Maybe it wasn't enough.

It left a lump in his throat all the way home. He was bad at dating. He didn't want to date. It just took too much effort. And it left him sad to think he'd always be alone.

But when he got home, the shower was on. It freaked him. No Emily on the couch. And was something going on?

It rattled him. He didn't like this feeling of having to be the big brother in all this, but actually, he was, and a part of him wanted to beat some one's brains in. He chewed at the inside of his jaw just waiting for someone to come out of his bathroom.

He saw the blanket on the couch. Something was out of order. At least he hadn't walked in on them. He wasn't sure if he ever wanted to sit on his couch again. How could they?

"This is just great." He managed to keep his voice low once he saw Emily wrapped in a towel. His last clean towel, in fact. "Do you not know, that my mother is right upstairs!" He cringed.

"Yeah," Emily was being rather casual about the whole situation. "So."

"What? You two just go to other people's houses, just to have sex?" Gordy seethed into a sigh.

"It wasn't like that." Rosco was in a towel too. "Jane was asleep."

"Well, then that makes everthing perfectly all right! Doesn't it!" Gordy gritted. "Just go. I want you to go. Don't come around here, anymore. I won't ever ask you to do anything for Jane, again. Got that!" It was final. He was mad, but he felt like crying. It was hard to keep fighting the emotion.

"Gordy, you don't mean that." Emily came forward, tried to touch him, but Gordy backed away.

"Don't. Don't touch me." He felt himself slightly shake and not in a good way. "Get some clothes on! Go. Just go." He went to his room then and closed the door and laid there in the dark with tears streaming down his face.

What was happening to him? Was he turning into a woman or something?

He heard Jane stir. She wasn't crying for him, but he picked her up anyway and hugged her close. He kept telling himself, Jane was all he needed, but the tears wouldn't stop coming.

Hi Cait!
I'm so sorry I haven't been able to read your blog, but right now I just don't have the time to - school kills me. I'm sure it is great though, and I feel really tempted to stop my study for a while. I'll come by later.

Thank you commenting my blog, it's good to know that you like it!

I'll be back soon!
