it wouldn't hurt him

Emily had been thinking about Gordy's make over for a long while. He needed a transformation. He needed color. He needed to be seen.

She pulled out a T-shirt from the Misfits, and a hoodie with little neon green skulls on it. "It might not be Drop Dead Clothing, but it'll do. Vintage, actually, from Rosco's basement."

"Oh, joy, what I've always wanted."Gordy bitterly remarked as he snatched the clothing from her. Then she reached for the skinny black jeans.

"These are mine." She unfolded for him to see.

"What?"

"They were a little long on me. I had to wear really high heels too. And I'd rather just stick with my Converses." She told him.

"No way, can I get into these." He pulled at the black jeans wondering if he could even get his foot in them.

"You can't be a slob. Come on, Gordy." Emily put her hands on her hips, a little perturbed.

"Like I could eat anything if I wore those things." He threw it all on the couch. No, he was going to do this right. He'd find his black pants he wore only once to prom and a striped shirt his Mom got him from Target last Christmas that he never wore.

"I can dress myself," he sighed, "but I gotta shower." That was a start. Shower. Shave. Get dressed and go.

"I don't have time for this." He couldn't even find a towel.

"At least let me do your hair." She looked at him blankly.

"I am not a girl." He'd towel dry it after he got out of the shower. It would have to do. "Just watch Jane. OK."

She nodded. "Its OK, if Rosco comes over, isn't it?"

"Of course," Gordy sighed and then went to get ready.
