sorry much

Bella finally had Emily cornered who was watching the clock which seemed highly unusual.

"What do you want?" Emily snapped as if she really didn't have time for anything Bella might ask.

"Nothing," Bella wished she had something to do like perhaps put recipes in files, but then again, she didn't look at recipes. After all, she was total vegan now and everyone in the house ran from her as if she might as well be a witch. "I really need a hobby."

"Nothing comes to mind?" Emily was in the kitchen cutting a grapefruit. She offered half to her sister, but Bella didn't want any.

"No." Her head might as well be empty.

"Why don't you go to the library?" Emily shrugged.

Bella looked at her as if that was stupid.

"Oh, right, you might bump in to Rachel, and we know how much you don't like her," Emily smirked.

"I don't care if she's with-" She really didn't want to say Gordy's name, "Its just does she have to spend so much time with Jane?"

"Yeah, she kind of does," Emily did a little karate mock dance in Bella's face then went back to her grapefruit at the counter. "She is living with him."

"And who's fault is that?" Bella gave her the evil eye then.

Emily gave her a look back that they weren't going to go there. Now Bella felt awkward to mention Omaha.

"I'm sorry it didn't work out on that trip, that you didn't confront that guy." Bella hugged herself.
"Well, he's dead." Emily said it to her sister. Then went back to eating her grapefruit as if enough was said on a painful subject she'd carried with her for years.

Bella couldn't think of a thing to say. Finally she managed, "Well, I'm sorry." But she wasn't sure Emily heard her because her cell went off and Gib started crying.

About "so much for a movie": I wonder what that tastes like, all flavours of popcorn mixed together. I expect you have more flavours in the US than we have in Old Europe. I only know sweet and salty :D
Arrrggghhh Bella is freaking me out. She's being annoying.
I had to laugh at Bella only having had one job, too. But working at a vintage shop sounds good.

About this chapter: I like Emily more and more. I like her sense of humour.

Ahh, I love the chemistry between these two.

I seem to like disturbed people for some reason.
