under the starry night

Rosco had talked it over with his Mom. Between the two of them, they'd found Charlotte a car. It was a used car, but still economical enough. It was a few years old. His Mom knew the owner.

"She doesn't even have her driver's license, Mom." Rosco wasn't so sure he was up to teaching Charlotte how to drive.

"Well, she needs a car. You can't just run around being her chauffeur. Besides, this will be good for her." Plain and simple.

"Charlotte doesn't always like whats good for her, Mom." Rosco didn't know a better way to explain.

"What is that suppose to mean?"

The car was sitting in the driveway. It was a small Ford Focus. Cranberry red.

"She'll love it." His mother then said staring at it.

"I hope." Rosco was skeptical. He was used to things not going well when it came to these sort of things. It never did with Emily. Somehow, it always made him feel he was the worst when it came to relationships.

"Look, I'm just trying to help her. I'm not trying to make her feel she has to marry you, you know." Rosco's mother shrugged.

"I know." Rosco hadn't even thought of that. His chest tighten. That would still be a long way off. He at least wanted to have a real job and be out of the house. But then again, his brother was still at home and married.

Rosco looked up into the night, a quick prayer came to mind. He hoped Charlotte wouldn't hate the car.

What could possibly go wrong now?

Rosco's mom is too cool for wanting to help Charlotte have her independence in the relationship, so smart. You can't have a good thing with a guy if you aren't free to be yourself, totally. I'm not surprised that Rosco is intimidated by that, but he better get over it quick, I think Parker may be getting ready to make a move, haha.

How was your week-end? Mine was good. I did a little Spring organizing of my closets to get my wardrobe ready for warm weather, wishful thinking. Have a nice day, sweetie. xo

Wow, Rosco and his mum are so generous to Charlotte! I think I'd be totally embarrassed in her place. hehe.
Rosco's mum sounds like a future mum-in-law.. I'm scared of mum-in-laws. Hehe.
Heey! My dad bought a new car a week ago, and it's a Ford Focus too!
Charlotte won't hate the car! I can't predict her reaction, but I'm sure she won't hate it.

That is so sweet of Rosco and his mother. I know I'd love a cranberry red Ford Focus ^^

I know exactly what you mean about little kids, when they start to talk. My cousin Mandy is one and a half years-old, and she's so cute when she tries to sound serious everytime she says a small sentence - especially because she's so funny and adorable, and when she tries to act like she's older she is hilarious. So smart. I love her.

And thank you for your comment. I am better now, I think.
I even got my ears pierced :)

How are you, Cait?
