"Well, what are you going to do?" A smile curled up on Charlotte's face when she heard Whitney talk about Bella's hats. This was hilarious. She hated to admit it, but she could not see the two of them working together.
"Tossers!" Whitney cringed. "I dunno what to do." She was almost in a melt down. True, she was getting over having Gib for the weekend. And evidently, her boss was a pain to work for. He could never make up his mind about anything, or so the way Whitney spoke of him, always leaving her to feel she was the bimbo to blame, after all.
"Oh, you know you'll do it," Charlotte tried not to laugh about it. "You're the nicest person I know. You can not say, no."
"I can't." Whitney looked frightened already. "She's about to have cow. If I let her down," Whitney closed her eyes and fell back on the couch. "It'll be hell to pay."
"I doubt I could do anything for either of you." Charlotte sighed "Besides I have Rachel to contend with. You know, she has a program nonstop through the very end of July. And I have to graduate before then. Hahahahaaa...."
"You and Rosco, still going to Worlds of Fun?" Whitney looked up at her.
"Of course," Charlotte's eyes lit. "As soon as graduation is over, we are packed and on the road. Why don't you and Kal come?"
"I don't see it happening. He's helping out with some demos or something in the recording studio." She shook her head.
"You could come." Charlotte pulled Whitney to her feet.
"Sounds like something just for the two of you," Whitney shrugged. "Besides, I'll be knee deep in yarn and hats."
The tea kettle was singing. It was time for a nice cup of tea.
