those endless questions

"She's in bed." Rosco was so ready to hang up on Rachel, but she just kept going in a tizzy. "Look, we went and got a throat culture. They won't know anything for two days."

Naturally, Rachel was worried about the swine flu.

"I don't think she has a fever. If she does, its very low grade." Rosco promised as he paced around his room in the dark. He could barely find Charlotte as it was in all the covers. "She's just not coming in, all right." Rosco wasn't sure he could take many more of Rachel's questions. "I'm sorry, she won't be in. You wouldn't want her to come in if she's sick, would you?"

Rachel went on and on about how this needed to be done and that needed to be done for the summer reading program.

"You are going to play at the concert, right?" Rachel kept pressing for what would be on their playlist.

Rosco just yawned. He could use a nap himself.

"Look, Floyd is in charge of that. He's got the whole set ready."

"You don't remember?" Rachel was wanting to know.

"Yes, I remember, I just don't want to talk about it right now, OK." Rosco yelled in the phone then.

"YOU DON'T HAVE TO YELL AT ME!" Rachel yelled back.

"Sorry." Rosco sighed. "Can I go now?" Rosco shook his head. How in the world did Charlotte work for her?
