When Emily awoke, she didn't know where she was. It took her by surprise, actually. She looked around. It was sort of familiar. Sort of not. Maybe she'd been here before. Chances were she hadn't.
The sun seeped in under the heavy curtain. But it was hardly that light in the room.
Suddenly, she felt cold because she noticed she was naked. Finally, her heart started to pump as if she needed to move, needed to get out of bed. Maybe find her clothes. Get dressed. Go. But she felt the slight movement from next to her. It was warm. A little inviting, but she did the things she told herself to do.
1. find your clothes.
2. get dressed. now.
She stumbled lightly. Still wondering who in the hell Crystal decided to sleep with. She peaked out of the curtain. At least it wasn't a motel room. Not even a hotel. Some-body's house.
A chill came over her then as she stepped into her high heeled boots. This was Rosco's house. Of course, he didn't live here.
It wasn't until she saw who he was when she opened the bedroom door and the light from the hallway appeared. It was Kal.
She took a deep breath, looked up and down the hall and took off as lightly as she could. Once she was outside in the light. She noticed her t-shirt was on wrong, but she didn't stop to care. She kept running. She ran all the way home.
How in the hell did I even get here? She thought as she made her way home. Of course, when she got there, Derrick was waiting for her in the driveway.
"Where in the hell have you been?" Derrick leaned against his car as if he'd been here for sometime.
"Around." She stared back at him with a go to hell look. "What do you want?"
"You wanted me?"
"Well, you're too late, I don't like waiting, you know." The words came natural as if Emily could sit back and enjoy the ride.
"So why are you still here?" She pursed her lips and then gave him a smirk.
"Because I care about you, and I don't know what you're doing anymore." He sighed coming closer to her.
"Obviously, I'm living without you," Emily shrugged or was this all Crystal. She really didn't know anymore, but she was here. She didn't think she would be here if Crystal was around. Maybe. Maybe not. She didn't know.
"You don't mean it." His fingers came around her face, and it was like falling under his spell. He bit her bottom lip and shefelt his stud at the roof of her mouth then, and she knew what she missed the most about him. The pain.
"I'm not really doing anything right now," she smiled. "Maybe you can come up for a bit."
