left overs

Rosco missed the wedding, but Rachel told him all about it.

"It was so sweet, and so unexpected. Wish I could have something like that," Rachel smiled giving him the left over cake when he got back to Emily's.

"That's-" He wasn't sure where he was going with this. He had a few other things planned other than getting married at home. Hopefully, she knew this. "That's interesting." He pushed cake in his mouth so he wouldn't have to speak of it.

"So Gordy is OK?" She watched him.

The cake was so moist and white and terribly sweet. It was from the grocery store where he worked. He nodded.

"You know, when we get married we could get everything from Baker's." She seemed to have a notebook of ideas about getting married.

Rosco started to cough up the cake. He felt sick on the cake, but he choked it down. He hurried to the kitchen then to get a drink of water. Rachel stayed with Lucy and Jane.

Of course, Emily was in the kitchen cleaning up. He could barely manage to tell her he needed water.

"Is everything all right?" She asked with suds on her hands as she dipped them to rinse crystal punch cups now.

He held up his index finger while he washed down the cake with tap water. Finally he put down the plastic cup, looked at her and cleared his throat.

"Did you know they were getting married?"

Emily stared at him and shook her head, no.

"OK." He nodded. "Well, I hope they're happy."

"They will be," Emily sighed as if she were tired of even talking about it. "She'll even be more happier once that baby comes. I think she really wants it, too."

"I should call Gordy," Rosco then said. "He needs to know. I'm just glad he wasn't here when it happened."

"He really doesn't like Fish, huh?"

"I wouldn't say that. That's not why he left."

"I see," Emily went back to washing dishes.

"Its not about you, either," he told her.

She sucked in a breath then.

"Its still on his mind about Serena and the baby," Rosco told her.

"Well, I haven't talked to him." Emily rinsed a dish.

"I know." Rosco bit his bottom lip as he watched her.

"I'm not going to." She said it like a promise.

"Things look really good with you and Casper."

"Yeah, he's going to Paris, though. Probably fall in love over there." She looked sad as if it was already over. Or something she desperately wanted to be used too before it happened.

"But that's a ways away, isn't it?" He thought he heard them speak of it earlier when he really wasn't listening to Rachel but other people's conversation.

"Yeah, I know."

"Well, what are you waiting for?" It came to him then that he should end it with Rachel. Had, too. "Just make the most of it right now."

Thanks, I hope you enjoyed spontaneous dancing. It's what its all about. I will try and follow your advice and not think too much when it comes to being creative, just let it flow whatever it is.

I still feel bad for Rosco and Emily. I just don't know if they can ever get back to where they once were.
