what comes around

It looked like it was happening. Right now. Shit, Emily wasn't expecting this. She looked around the livingroom. Neither Gordy nor Rosco in sight.

There was going to be a wedding. Her sister was getting married. She guessed they were doing it. Her sister put on Vampire Weekend's ottoman on the stereo to get everyone's attention. She knew that had nothing to exactly with wedding bells, but this was her sister's wedding and a preacher was here.

"Mom, did you know about this?" Emily grabbed her Mom's arm who was in the kitchen pouring herself some wine. Emily pointed to the African American pastor from the New Life Church.

"No, your sister didn't say a thing."

The next thing, Bella clanked a spoon on an empty wine glass she'd had juice in, to get everyone's atttention. Again.

"Everybody, you're invited to a wedding," Emily announced with a laugh. "Right now!"

Emily thought her Mom was going to drop her wine then, but instead, she tossed her heavy dark hair behind her shoulder and walked in to join the celebration.

Emily stayed in the kitchen, thinking how many times would her sister go through this. Actually, this was the first time. She guessed. Although, her and Gordy's wedding was a big deal at a big church. It was so long ago, Emily thought. It was an almost wedding.

Emily just remembered then she left a blind guy with a baby. Guess she'd have to see how that was going. Emily walked as quietly as she could. Although, there was no reason to worry, Rachel was with Jane and Lucy by the toy box.

Emily looped an arm around Casper and put her head on his shoulder. She closed her eyes then, maybe to pray. Actually, she was thankful for the salvation he had some how salvaged. She had to keep thinking about him and not this event.

lol! Well, you can say what you want about Emily, but she certainly has a way with words! lol! "Emily just remembered then she left a blind guy with a baby."

Love these updates, it looks great! Awesome job! I am really enjoying being inside Emily's head, she has so grown on me!

I need more of this! <3

Hope you had a fantastic weekend, Cait :)
Btw, where do you get your inspiration from, for this story? The characters just seem so real. You're a great story teller.

Thank you for the reply :)
That was a wonderful answer. I never had imaginary friends, but sometimes I enjoyed talking to myself - like thinking out loud (I hope I didn't sound crazy). It's good to know you put so much into your stories.

And thank you so much for your comment, too. It was raining on Sunday, here in Portugal, but know it's sunny and hot again. It doesn't feel like Autumn.
Oh, Nebraska, I'll have to look it up on my USA Atlas ^^ I'm so obsessed with US states :)

Have a nice week!
