ready set....

Whitney could hear Rosco running up the stairs. She gasped a laugh as she smoothed out the dress that Charlotte was going to wear to prom. She'd came home with the outfit that Bella thought would be great for the prom. Of the shoulder and shiny.

"What's going on?" Rosco busted in Whitney and Kal's room with a frantic look.

"What do you think?" Charlotte looked at him as if he should have known.

"You said you didn't want to go." Rosco winced.

"I changed my mind." She looked away then as if she were a princess of some kind and couldn't bare to look at what the cat dragged in, all sweaty and stinky.

"Great." Rosco whispered. "Just great."

"Remember, you can't wear what your brother wore to prom." They both pointed to the picture on the wall next to the bed. It was Kal in white pants, his white shirt button all the way to the top with it untucked. He looked like the love guru all in white with black high tops.

"I wasn't." He said very carefully as he looked at them both. "How much time do I have?"

"An hour." Charlotte stared at him. "I made reservations at that place on the water front."

"Great." Rosco said again. He shut the door behind him and they heard him run the shower then.

"I can't believe you just sprung it on him, like this." Whitney gave her a dead stare then.

"Sometimes, I like to see that surprised look on his face. You know, the deer in the headlights, but he's so cute." She smiled then.

"I don't know what he could possibly dig out of that closet of his to wear, though." Whitney shook her head.

"I have it already laid out for him. Its not a tux, of course, but its got that classy retro look with this really thin tie. He'll look dreamy. He has nothing to worry about. Really." Charlotte assured her.

"So will you be getting your photo taken?" Whitney nodded.

"Absolutely, why do you think we're going?"

Prom is always so hectic, it's part of the fun! Soooo glad he's not wearing a tux. Charlotte's dress sounds beautiful, I bet Rosco swallows his gum when he see's her coming down the stairs. sigh.

Haha gotta love the difference between the girls spending time to carefully plan, and then just springing it on Rosco at the last minute. Prom always sounds so exciting!

My brother's junior year he did look like the love guru. He took his best friend's sister and it was sort of one of these things where it was perhaps last minute. Their senior year they went..she spent a fortune on him..made him get a tan, where a tux. It took all of us to get him in the suit because he hates anything tucked in.
