in a tailspin

It didn't matter that people were arriving. That the pizza was waiting to be served.

Bella ran up to their room and flung herself on the bed and started crying. Of course, Gibson was crying too. Fish took him back, trying to sooth him and this commotion. Bella's Mom was trying to act as if everything was just fine. Just great.

Just great. It was all Bella could here over and over in her head. She was so mad at Fish. How could he just be so damn useless. Of course, she knew he was a stoner when she met him. He was probably stoned the moment they met. She remembered how goofy he'd looked at her. Pointing to her bare feet then his own bare feet.

She cried into her pillow more leaving a big wet spot. Perhaps men in white coats were waiting for her. Ready to tell her, "You really know how to pick'm, honey."

"Baby, please, just listen to me, will you?" Fish still had Gib with him, and stood by the bed.

"Don't call me, baby!" She almost hit him and Gib with the pillow then.

Fish took a step back and left with Gibson, again. She cried some more while it was quiet, but as it was he came back in the room without Gib this time and shut the door. "Just try not to over react, will you?" His voice was quiet.

"You, you don't care about anyone but yourself," Bella looked at him, frowning with a red face of tears.

"I do too." He winced. "Jesus, lets stop blaming every damn thing on me." He gritted.

"You aren't stupid. You want me to think you're some dumb ass and..and I'm suppose to," She hit him with pillow again.

"Bella," He just looked at her frowning slightly. He sat down on the edge of the bed. "So I'm not a rocket scientist."

"But you could be teaching band," Bella blubbered.

"Yeah, and I could be all stressed out and have high blood pressure already, too."

"Oh, yeah, we wouldn't dare want that to happen," she mocked. "Why did you have to be a stoner?"

"It relaxes me." Fish shrugged.

"It relaxes you?" She went mocking again. "You wasted a good portion of your life on weed."

"Wait a minute," he snapped. "I stopped using the crap once you came into the picture, remember?"

"What are you trying to say? I'm the angel who saved you?" She looked at him.

"Not hardly." He sighed, looking away. "Look, if you apply for that job your mother wants you too, I'll apply for that teaching job. I'm not guaranteeing I'll get it, but I'll try. All right?"

"Really?" She lifted her head from the pillow and looked at him.

"Yeah, I'll do it." He nodded.

"Where's Gib?" She finally asked.

"Archie's got him."

I haven't been catching up with the story lately. I seem to have missed much, thanks to mountain loads of schoolwork.

Poor Bella. Always in tangles. Maybe Fish should take her someplace nice to relax?

Nice new layout~ But I think it's a bit hard to read the text. Or maybe it's just my eyes.

Anyway, keep writing! I simply can't wait to delve into more - after I catch up on the stuff I missed.

Oh, those two. I think they have a lot of obstacles to face.

I like that Fish said "not hardly..."

Wow this was amazing! I don't think I've ever read such a good and emotional fight. Such a great job, Cait! Your dailogues are so real.

I do hope Fish gets back on his feet... but Bella needs to be a little more helpful.
Maybe this made her open her eyes? :)

How was your weekend?
